Friday's 's Award: Shelby Doren Shelby has been nominated for the Sage Award through the Sage Colleges. Shelby has earned this honor because she embodies the Sage motto: “To Be. To Know. To Do.” This award is $10,000 per year upon enrollment. She is an academic and social leader both in and out of the classroom. She has maintained a B+ average or better and is ranked well within the top 25% of the class. She is involved in a variety of community activities and leads the school in many ways, most recently by being accepted to the very competitive Law and Government Program through Cap Region BOCES for her senior year, as well as being selected to represent Greenville at this year’s Girls State. The opportunity to attend Girls’ State is given to Shelby because she has high qualities of leadership, character, scholarship and service.
