Thursday's Award: Hannah Smith Hannah has been nominated for three awards including the University of Rochester Bausch and Lomb Science Award, the Bryn Mawr College President’s Book Award and the Gellert Cornell Admissions Invitation. Hannah has earned these honors because she is a phenomenal academic student as well as positive role model in our school and surrounding community. Hannah is currently a full International Baccalaureate Diploma student and maintaining the spot of Valedictorian for the Class of 2018 with close to a 101% weighted grade point average. Hannah’s abilities in and out of the classroom are inspiring and worthy of acknowledgements. She is involved in many activities including SADD, NHS and more. The University of Rochester Science Award acknowledges students who have a passion and excel in the area of science and have excelled on their PSAT. Hannah is currently in the running for National Merit Scholarship based on her high PSAT scores. The University of Rochester award is in the amount for $10,000 per year upon enrollment. The Bryn Mawr College President’s Book Award is Stength’s Finder 2.0 by Gallup as well as a $250 travel stipend to visit the school and the Gellert Cornell Admissions Invitation invites Hannah to apply to the prestigious college.
