Dear Parents, As many of you are aware, grade five students at Scott M. Ellis Elementary have been attending the Nature’s Classroom Program for over 30 years. Over 3,000 students from Greenville have participated in this wonderful program over those thirty plus years, perhaps even you or your child(ren). As a district, WE are committed to continuing this EXCELLENT, LIFE CHANGING program. That being said, I am hoping to work toward a time when the Nature’s Classroom Program is completely self sustaining. With the help of Sunny Hill Golf Course, we are proudly announcing the Fourth Annual Nature’s Classroom Golf Tournament to be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016. All tournament information is attached. Please talk with your friends and family (particularly those who attended Nature’s Classroom) about playing in this event. Any assistance in passing this information throughout our community, and even beyond, would be a tremendous help. I have also included information about tee sponsorship opportunities. If you are a business owner, know of anyone who is, or would just like to make a donation, please consider buying a tee sponsorship. Thank you so much for your time and consideration of this very worthwhile cause and I hope to see you out on the course May 21st! Best regards, Brian P. Hostash Nature’s Classroom Program Coordinator #GHSBlog

Students in Mr. Thela’s IB 20th Century History course attended a trip to the New York State Military Museum in Saratoga on Wednesday, April 20th. Students had the opportunity to observe the wide variety of well displayed artifacts from World War I to the War in Vietnam. We also discussed the practices and related artifacts of twentieth century combat with tremendously knowledgeable and experienced U.S. Veterans from the area.
