Is the Robotics Club only for geeks... No way. Our Robotics Club offers a wide variety of things for students of all backgrounds. From creative things, to engineering stuff to programing tasks. When I first joined the Robotics Club, I wasn't sure how I would like it. I thought it was only for geeks. I thought that I wouldn't have any friends in the club, and I thought it was only about building a robot. Boy was I wrong!In the Robotics Club, we are building a robot to compete against other schools. But the club needs students with all different backgrounds because we all like to do different things. The Club has a little bit of something for everyone. Let's face it. I don't really like engineering. I've never done it before and I thought engineers only read manuals. I was wrong, in fact we don't do any of that.
I'm on the creative team and part of our task is to take photos, document the building of the robot, write for the blog, create T-shirts, design a logo, create a page for the yearbook and work on the website. It's all things that I enjoy. We get to express ourselves, and in the end I'm doing everything but building a robot!
