The first game of the night this past Friday pitted the JV Boys against Chatham. Both teams played well, but Greenville came out on top. The final score was 55-30, great job guys!

The second and final game of the night was the Varsity Boys game. The game was well played by both teams and the fourth quarter was definitely very exciting and the plays kept on the edge of your seat (or in this case, bleachers). There was a very close back and forth lead, by only a point or two for most of this quarter. The final 15 seconds were approaching and we were still down by one point, 65-64. As it got down to the last 5 seconds, Sophomore Ryan McAneny passed the ball to Junior Cole Ackerman and he threw it toward the basket, just in front of the half court line. Junior Liam Krasney caught it right next to the basket and shot as the buzzer went off, making the basket, and securing the win by one point. The final score was 66-65, awesome win Greenville!

Greenville High School

Greenville High School The response for our FFA Greenery sale has been the best ever! Many students, teachers, and parents have been busy working on wreaths, garlands, kissing balls, etc. but there are still more to make! Mrs. Lewis is looking for any students or parents who would be interested in assisting Friday or Saturday. If you'd like to help out you can come Friday after school between 3 and 6 or Saturday morning between 9 and 12. This is a fun and festive activity for parents and students who would like to get in the holiday spirit! #GHSBlog

High School Gym

View from the new bleachers
GCS design on the new bleachers and new Spartan art

New center of the gym (and basketball court)

The gym remodeling was finally finished, and just in time for winter sports to start! Some updated features of the gym are the bleachers (now only on one half of the gym), the new maroon mats on the walls, the Spartan logos (in the center of the court and above the bleachers) and the new scoreboards. In addition to the Spartan head, I'm sure the girls and boys basketball teams appreciate the "Spartans" and "Lady Spartans" now printed on the floor. Thank you to everyone who was involved in any way for creating a shiny new gym for all of the current and future students to use.
